DAY 4

• Exploring Sicily

Good morning, today we propose several destinations to visit:

• catania

The city of Catania offers many attractions to see and visit. First of all, there is the famous Piazza dell'Elefante, followed by the obligatory stop of the Pescheria. It is not just a common fish market, but an authentic experience. The scents and colors will conquer you. You can also taste numerous street foods prepared with the freshest fish and get in touch with the true soul of the people of Catania.

The Teatro Massimo cannot be missed in the list of the main things to see in Catania. It was inaugurated in 1890 with "Norma" by the Catanian composer Vincenzo Bellini, to whom it is dedicated. The most important opera performances of the city of Etna take place here. The theater was designed by the architect Andrea Scala and is inspired by the French style of the second empire, which recalls the Opéra Garnier in Paris.

Continuing to via Sant’Anna, you can visit on the second floor of the civic building number 8 the house where the verismo writer Giovanni Verga lived with his family. The building was purchased and restored by the Region of Sicily when the last heir of the Verga family passed away. In 1980 it was transformed into a literary museum that preserves the original furnishings, the writer's library consisting of about 2600 volumes and some copies of Verga's manuscripts."

• butterfly house

Via Dietro Serra, 6, 95029 Viagrande CT

The Monteserra Butterfly House is an exceptional installation in Southern Italy, which presents itself as a vast tropical greenhouse in which hundreds of butterflies from the most beautiful and spectacular species on the planet can fly freely. Their diverse shapes and colors surprise visitors.

DAY 5

•SHOPPING OR VULCANO

•CENTRO SICILIA SHOPPING CENTER

Centro Sicilia shopping center is a great destination for shopping, with a wide selection of shops offering clothing, shoes, bags, phones and electronic devices.
It is the perfect place to spend a fun day with the family.

•ETNA Volcano

Etna is the highest volcano in Europe with a height of 3,357 meters!
This volcano is active and its eruptions are spectacular, offering the opportunity to take breathtaking photos. Over the years some eruptions occur, there is no reason to worry, because Etna is a good Volcano.
It is easily accessible by car via the Mareneve road, you can visit Piano Provenzana or climb to the summit craters using the cable car from Nicolosi.
In order not to miss the various caves and the most beautiful panoramic points, we recommend booking a guided excursion, which often also includes a stop at typical local restaurants to taste local specialties.

DAY 6

• milo adventure park

Via Acque del Vescovo, 41, 95022 Milo CT

Located in the pine forest of Scarbaglio Park in the municipality of Milo, the Etna Adventure Park is made up of a series of acrobatic routes where you walk suspended between the trees. The routes vary in height, difficulty and effort required. These are recreational and sporting activities that can be undertaken independently and in complete safety under the constant supervision of our instructors. Here you can test your balance, speed, ability to overcome obstacles and desire for adventure."

• Syracuse

Famous throughout the world for its Greek theater, the immense Archaeological Park and the enchanting island of Ortigia, this city is certainly one of the most popular tourist destinations in Sicily. The oldest part of Syracuse, the most "historical" historical center of the city, is actually located... on an island! Ortigia is connected to the mainland by two bridges: Ponte Umbertino and Ponte Santa Lucia. Here there are numerous important monuments and museums, along with many restaurants and clubs. It is the ideal neighborhood from which to start to discover the city and where to return at the end of the day. Aretusa was a beautiful nymph (obviously). The god Alpheus fell in love with her when he discovered her naked while she was bathing. Aretusa did not seem particularly enthusiastic about the god's advances: she fled to the island of Ortigia in Syracuse where Artemis transformed her into a fountain freshwater. The "official" (and less glamorous) explanation for why there is a freshwater source just a few meters from the sea is the local characteristics of water seepage into the ground... but that doesn't really matter. The circular fountain is one of the symbols of Syracuse and is adorned with green papyrus plants growing around it. (Alpheus ended up quite well, though: he was transformed into a river in Greece and travels the Ionian Sea every day to reunite with his beloved fountain-nymph.)

DAY 7

RIPOSTO AND THE FISH MARKET

The city of Riposto was born on the sea, it has always been a port for naval and fish trade, the main monument that represents Riposto is the majestic Basilica of San Pietro, in addition to the majestic Palazzo Comunale.
In the morning, at the fish market there is very fresh fish caught on the coasts of Eastern Sicily, here you can find all the species of fish, molluscs and crustaceans present in our sea.

•giardini naxos

Giardini Naxos, a tourist attraction near Taormina, is famous for its sandy beaches and crystal clear sea. The area is also known for its lively nightlife with various bars and discos. It can be easily reached by car in just 20 minutes and enjoy a pleasant evening walk along the seafront.

Sea excursions are an unmissable experience in Giardini-Naxos. You can explore the coast and the suggestive sea caves and admire spectacular views.

Recanati Beach

Recanati beach extends southwards, with fine sand that becomes coarser near the shore and small pebbles on the shoreline. The water becomes deep a few meters after the entrance and crystalline transparency predominates. Unlike Schisò, here the bathing establishments are less invasive and there is also space for free beaches. Recanati has a wilder but at the same time fascinating appearance.
